Table manners are an important area of ??interest in gastronomy in socio-cultural terms. Table manners, also known as dining etiquette, are a set of unwritten rules that govern how we behave when we sit down to eat. While these rules vary from culture to culture, they play an important role in shaping our relationship with food and each other. The utensils used at the table, their arrangement on the table, the cooking of the food, the types of food, the way the food is presented, the way the food is eaten, and all of the person's perception, thoughts, and behavior patterns, everything that emerges in this process, are closely related to culture. Another reason table manners are so important is that they help create a sense of community and belonging. Having everyone at the table follow the same unwritten rules helps develop camaraderie and break down social barriers. Table manners are frequently included in culinary culture studies conducted by researchers from different social science fields. This study, it is aimed to examine table manners at a conceptual level as a subject in itself. The main purpose of the study is to conduct a descriptive analysis of articles on Turkish table manners from different disciplines. In this context, a literature review was conducted within the scope of articles published in peer-reviewed journals in Turkish, which were accessed with the keyword "table manners" in the Google Scholar search engine. Main findings; It shows that academics from different social science disciplines, generally using qualitative research methods, produce inferences about table manners "practices" as well as their "symbolic meanings". As a result, it has been seen that the subject of table manners is both multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary and is a rich research area. In addition, it is suggested in the study that table manners be conceptualized as "table practices that include eating and serving rules, as well as a cultural attraction that includes symbolic meanings."
