Information for the Authors


In this section, the author (s) a; Before the application, general information about the application process and the stages after the application is given:

  • You can make your application by uploading your article to IJOESS through the system after you subscribe at www.ijoess.com . Applications via mail are not accepted.
  • All communications during the application process are made via e-mail and the website. It is recommended that you check the spam folder in your mailbox, in case the emails are viewed as spam.
  • Please use avrasyadergisi@gmail.com  to contact us.
  • Articles should be written in accordance with the journal's writing format. It should be suitable for the article template.
  • Articles that do not comply with the spelling rules will be returned without being evaluated.
  • Articles submitted to our journal must comply with publication ethics.
  • Turkish and English articles are published in IJOESS journal. While making your application, you should not include personal information such as name and surname on the candidate article.
  • When the article is first uploaded to the system, the names of the authors must be entered completely in the registration form filled out on the website. No author's name can be added or removed from the submitted articles after the process begins.
  • Submitted articles must be original. It must not have been posted and published elsewhere.
  • The similarity "plagiarism" report of the candidate article should be received and uploaded to the system during the application. (The study should be reviewed with one of the similarity programs such as Turnitin or iThenticate, the similarity rate should not exceed 20%).
  • The publication right of the published work belongs to the journal. All ethical responsibility of the published work belongs to the author (s). Authors take full responsibility for copyright infringement, plagiarism or other violations.
  • Authors should take care to follow all guidelines. Articles that do not comply with the specified guidelines will be returned.
  • References should be arranged in accordance with the procedures and principles in the 7th version of the APA Citation Rules.
  • It should be checked whether the in-text references of each citation in the bibliography are given according to the procedures and principles.
  • Author (s) should not wait for the published article to be published in the first issue after the date of upload to the journal. The peer-review process of the articles varies according to the field density.
  • No royalty fee is paid for published articles.
  • It is recommended that the studies to be submitted should not exceed 20 pages (10000 words).
  • In studies requiring Ethics Committee permission, information about the permission (name of the board, date and number) should be included in the method section and also on the first / last page of the article.
  • In case reports, the information that the informed consent / consent form has been signed should be included in the article.

Studies requiring Ethics Committee permission are as follows:

  • All kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants using questionnaires, interviews, focus group work, observation, experimentation, and interview techniques.
  • Use of humans and animals (including material / data) for experimental or other scientific purposes, Clinical research on humans, Research on animals, Retrospective studies in accordance with the law on protection of personal data. Also; Obtaining and indicating permission from the owners for the use of scales, surveys, photographs belonging to others, Stating that the copyright regulations are complied with for the intellectual and artistic works used.
  • Retrospective ethics committee approval is not required for articles that have used research data before 2020, produced from master's / doctoral studies (should be specified in the article), submitted a publication application to the journal last year, accepted but not yet published.
  • Researchers who are not members of the university can apply to the Ethics Committees in their regions for the Ethics Committee Report.
