The family life cycle is a concept that defines the family as a system that changes and develops over time and explains the stages the family goes through in this process of change. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the literature studies on family life cycle. For this purpose, full text resources for the family life cycle between 2000-2020 in DergiPark, EBSCO, Google Academic, YÖK-TEZ, ERIC, PROQUEST and Web of Science databases were discussed. The basis of the study is based on the screening model. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 and the results are presented descriptively as a graph, frequency and percentage. It is seen that mostly qualitative research methods are used in studies. Although the studies are generally conducted with families, it is understood that many different sample groups have been studied. Family life cycle studies are mainly carried out in the field of Family Counseling and Psychology and apart from these two fields studies are carried out in many different fields such as, sociology, health/medicine, social work, family and consumer sciences, economy, tourism, special education, business, psychological counseling, architecture, geography, marketing educational sciences, recreation, human resources, urban management and theology. In the reviewed studies, the family life cycle has been discussed on many different issues, including family counseling approaches, psychology, coping with stress, spouse burnout, resilience and marital satisfaction. As a result of the scanning, a total of 119 studies, including 61 articles, 40 doctoral dissertations, 15 master theses and 3 books, were reached. The obtained studies were evaluated in terms of method, sample, research area, subject titles and publication type sub-dimensions.
