Summary
In this study, it has been aimed to compare the general education programs of Turkey and Poland with the content and the aims of their science education programs. In this paper, the contents, learning fields, units and the science programs’ tuition hours of the programs have been examined. It has been used the qualitative research technique to examine the aims and the contents of the Turkey’s and Poland’s education programs. In comparison of general education in these countries, it has been found that Turkey is managed by the centralized education system, while Poland is managed by four part which are general, regional, school area and local parts. The unit contents of the science programs generally focus on nature and environment in Poland. In contrast to this, in Turkey, the basic science (physics, chemistry, biology) included in each unit has a place in each grade. Another important difference between the teacher training programs in Turkey and Poland is that; there are differences between the course duration and course contents of the science teacher candidates in undergraduate programs in both countries.
As a result, it has been understood that this study has mentioned the similarities and the differences of the general education systems which belongs to these both countries.

Abstract
Bu çalışmada Türkiye ve Polonya’nın genel eğitimleri ile fen eğitim programlarının içerik ve amaçlarının karşılaştırılması hedeflenmiştir. Çalışmada yer alan programların içerikleri, öğrenme alanları, üniteleri ve fen bilimleri programı ders saatleri ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Araştırmada Türkiye ve Polonya’ya ait öğretim programında yer alan amaç ve içerik araştırılırken nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan doküman incelemesine başvurulmuştur. Çalışma sonucu genel eğitim karşılaştırılmasında Türkiye merkezi eğitim sistemi ile yönetilirken, Polonya’da eğitim sistemi genel, bölgesel, okul bölgesi ve yerel olmak üzere dört kısımda yönetilmektedir. Polonya fen bilimleri eğitim programı ünite içeriğinde genel olarak doğa ve çevre temaları üzerinde vurgu yapılırken, Türkiye’de temel bilimleri (Fizik, Kimya, Biyoloji) ele alan her bir üniteye, her bir sınıf basamağında yer verildiği görülmektedir. Türkiye’de ki öğretmen yetiştirme sistemi ile Polonya’da ki öğretmen yetiştirme sistemi arasında görülen önemli bir fark; her iki ülkede ki fen bilimleri öğretmen adaylarının lisans dönemlerinde görmüş oldukları ders süresi ve ders içeriği farklılıkları olarak yer almaktadır.
Sonuç olarak bu çalışmada her iki ülkeye ait genel eğitim sistemlerinde ve fen bilimleri programlarında benzer ve farklı noktalara değinildiği görülmektedir.
