TEKNOLOJİ ve TASARIM DERSİ ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN TEKNOLOJİ ve TASARIM DERSİNE İLİŞKİN DERS DENEYİMLERİ

The aim of this study is to examine the lesson experiences of the Technology and Design Course teachers regarding the Technology and Design Course. The research conducted using qualitative research method is in phenomenology design. The research was carried out with 15 Technology and Design course teachers selected with maximum diversity and criterion sampling methods in the city of Ankara in the 2020-2021 academic year. In the study, semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers was used and analyzed by content analysis method. According to the findings of the research, the teachers expressed their opinions about the teaching profession general and special field competencies, motivations and the content of the program. As a result of the research; It was revealed that teachers felt inadequate to implement the program and could not fulfill the general and special field competencies of the teaching profession, students, parents and administrators had a lack of motivation due to the lack of interest in the course and the course was deemed worthless, and the anxiety of the High School Entrance Exam reduced the student's interest in the course. In addition, in the implementation of the program, it was determined that the lack of a workshop compatible with the curriculum and the lack of equipment, as well as the lack of student materials, created problems in the implementation of the course. It has turned out that the distance education of the program and measurement and evaluation in distance education are difficult. It can be ensured that teachers' deficiencies regarding field competence are complemented urgently with intensive in-service training by determining other professional development needs.
