MULTIDIMENSIONAL INVESTIGATION OF TEACHER CANDIDATES' ATTITUDES TOWARDS SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH METHODS
The aim of this research is to determine the attitudes of prospective teachers to the course of scientific research methods, the situations that cause negative attitudes and to suggest solutions and solutions for elimination of situations that cause negative attitudes. In the study, qualitative research patterns were exploited from the case studies. The data of the research The Gaziantep University Nizip Education Faculty was obtained from the teacher candidates who read in Turkish, Mathematics, Social Studies and Class Teacher departments. For this purpose, 4 open-ended questionnaires were asked to be analyzed by separating the answers given to these questions by giving face-to-face interviews with the teacher candidates reading at Nizip Education Faculties. While the questions used in the research were being prepared, opinions of at least 4 experts were taken in the field and the related field was scanned and the final shape was given to the questions. The maximum diversity was used in the selection of the study group of the study. Turkish, Mathematics, Social Studies and Class Teachers were selected from 10 teacher candidates who had taken a scientific research course and a total of 40 data were obtained. According to the results obtained from the data of the study; some of the teacher candidates in the research group show a positive attitude towards the scientific research course. They defend the necessity of scientific research course. However, teacher candidates have also stated that "there is no application", "the course is not student-centered" and "the lack of equipment of the teacher who teaches". On the basis of these results, this course has been presented with suggestions such as being taught by specialist instructors and taking lessons for practice.
