The study was conducted through phenomenologic method, which is a qualitative research method. The participants of the study consist of 17 classroom teachers teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades in Niğde in 2014-2015 academic year. The data was obtained by interview and observation techniques. Descriptive and content analysis techniques were used in order to analyze the data. According to the findings of the study, the teachers consider the skill as being an innate ability rather than a teachable skill and think of the leadership teaching process as determining the classroom rules together with the students. Teachers believe that teachers’ attitudes and behaviors are important in teaching leadership skill and that families should support their children to help them gain the skill. The results of the study were discussed within the related literature in terms of theoritical basis, attainment process and requirements to teach the leadership skill.
