Summary
STORY AND SHORT STORY USE IN CLASSICAL MUSIC RESOURCES
The appearance of the values forming the dramatic actions of ; myths, legends, epics, Mathnawis, religious and historical sources, novels and stories in the context of icon, concepts and person, brings out the intertexual relations. Intertextuality, in a sense, is getting into contact with the cultural aspects of the civilizations founded by mankind and the ways of living belonging to them. It is also important to ensure the intensity of the meaning. It is seen that the stories and the parables taking place in The Last Divine Book “Qur’an” also take place in the past texts and the same stories are used in different sorts of texts as well. The parables occupies a great place in the “Qur’an”. Some commentators states that stories constitute one-third of the whole “Qur’an” while others point out it is two-third of the whole “Qur’an”. It is also stated that the parables may constitute even half of the “Qur’an” when the stories about the events and the wars took place in the life time of the holy prophet Hz. Mohammed (s.a.v.). Observing the purpose of using the parables, we see that there is a very technical instrumentalism in terms of education of the people whom the divine inspiration sent and teaching them the divine orders. Stories and storytelling, a traditional teaching system, is in fact one of the most important reasons of the permanent storing of the information in our minds. The language of the stories and the parables are also the language of all the divine books. In the end, it is also important to transfer this information to future generations as well as to produce this information. When classical music books are examined, besides the intense theoretic information, it is seen that the language of the stories and parables is preferred to increase the intelligibility of the subject and ensure the permanence of the content.
