Abstract


THE OPINIONS OF PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS TOWARDS PPSE TEACHING CONTENT KNOWLEDGE EXAMINATION
The aim of this study is to determine the pre-service teachers’ view on PPSE (Public Personnel Selection Examination) Teaching Content Knowledge Examination. The population of the study consists of senior classes from Dicle University Ziya Gökalp Faculty of Education Primary Education Department, pre-service teachers who will take the PPSE Teaching Content Knowledge Examination in 2014 and graduate residents of Diyarbakır who were not assigned as teachers. The sample of this search consists of 604 pre-service teachers from primary education department. The research data was collected by “Opinion on PPSE Teaching Content Knowledge Examination Scale”. The data collected from the scale have been analysed with SPSS packaged software. According to research findings, significant differences have been determined between the opinions gathered from the pre-service teachers according to gender, educational background and major branches parameters at the dimension of exam anxiety. Also class teacher candidates and science teacher candidates have been observed to reflect a high level of anxiety.
