Abstract
This study was aimed to analyze the effect of a sample science school implementation designed on the basis of students’ using different student-centered teaching methods and their stroll in different learning environments on the attitudes of the secondary school students towards science and their motivation for learning science. In the science school designed for this purpose, "Mobile Science School II" program including planetarium, observatory, laboratory, outdoor, hands-on activities, games, art workshops, seminars and creative drama applications were presented. In this context, 46 7th grade students who participated in the nature education project carried out in Turkey and supported by The Scientific and Techological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) constitute the sample of this study. The research is designed in single group pre-test-post-test experimental design. The attitude scale towards science and the motivation scale for learning science were applied as pre-test and post-test in order to evaluate the nature education program. As a result of the research, students' attitudes towards science and motivation levels for learning science have changed positively. In this respect, it is thought that the science school model carried out will be an exemplary model for project studies which will be carried out both in science teaching and in other fields.
