Abstract
EXAMINING PRIMARY EDUCATION SENIOR STUDENTS’ FIELD KNOWLEDGE COMPETENCE AND ATTITUDES TOWARDS MATHEMATIC: A COMPARATIVE RESEARCH
This research aims to compare the relationship between Ahi Evran University education faculty classroom teaching program senior students’ mathematic field knowledge test competences and level of attitude towards mathematic in the 2001-2002 and 2015-2016 academic years’ circumstances. Raw data which the researcher used in his doctoral dissertation were analyzed again. 83 students from Ahi Evran University Education faculty classroom teaching program’ senior students forms the working group during the recap data collection process. Research was performed by using mathematic field knowledge competence test and attitude scale towards mathematic. Graduated in 2001-2002 academic year, classroom teaching program senior students’ mathematic field test score average and score average of attitude scale towards mathematic is lower than averages of classroom teaching senior students who graduated in 2015-1016 academic year. For both term graduates, there are moderate, positive direction and a significant correlation between their average score of mathematic field knowledge test and average score of attitude test towards mathematic.
