Summary
Çalışma kapsamında Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretim programında yer alan “Sevgi, Saygı ve Hoşgörü” değerlerinin ulusal yazılı basın haberlerinde bulunma durumları incelenmiştir.
Araştırmada nitel içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın kapsamını 2013 yılında ulusal düzeyde yayın yapmış tirajı yüksek dört gazete (Hürriyet, Posta, Sabah, Habertürk) oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma Türkiye’de yayın yapan tirajı yüksek dört ulusal gazetenin (Hürriyet, Posta, Sabah, Habertürk) 2013 yılında yayınlamış olduğu Sevgi, Saygı ve Hoşgörü değerine karşılık gelen haberleri ile sınırlıdır.
Araştırma kapsamında ele alınacak haberler medya takip merkezinden temin edilmiştir. Temin edilen haberler, hazırlanmış “Gazete Haberi Değerlendirme Formu”’na göre (haberin içeriği, bulunma yeri, “Sevgi, Saygı ve Hoşgörü” değerlerine karşılık gelen haberlerin sayıları ve oransal durumu) tasnif edilip ve değerlendirilmiştir.
Yapılan analiz ve değerlendirme sonucunda elde edilen veriler tablo ve grafik haline getirilmiş, bu tablo ve grafikler yorumlanmıştır.
Yapılan analiz ve değerlendirmeler sonucunda “Sevgi, Saygı ve Hoşgörü” değerine karşılık gelen haberlerin sayısal anlamda yeterli denebilecek oranda olduğu görülmesine rağmen bu haberlerin genellikle gazetelerin iç sayfalarından verilmesi eksiklik olarak tespit edilmiştir. İnsanlara olumlu örnek oluşturacak haberlerin insanların dikkatlerini çekebilecek ilk sayfalardan verilmesinin bireylerin gelişimine olumlu anlamda katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

Abstract
Within the scope of the study, the "Love, Respect and Tolerance" values in the Social Studies Curriculum were examined in the national print media news.
Qualitative content analysis method was used in the study. The coverage of the survey is made up of four high-volume newspapers (Hürriyet, Posta, Sabah, Habertürk), which broadcasted at national level in 2013. The survey is limited to news that corresponds to the value of four national newspapers (Hürriyet, Posta, Sabah, Habertürk) published in 2013 that reflect the value of Love, Respect and Tolerance.
News to be taken in the scope of the research were obtained from the media follow-up center. The provided news was classified and evaluated according to the prepared "Newspaper News Evaluation Form" (news content, location, number of news items corresponding to "Love, Respect and Tolerance" values).
The data obtained as a result of analysis and evaluation are transformed into charts and graphs, the charts and graphs are interpreted.
Despite the fact that the news corresponding to the value of "Love, Respect and Tolerance" as a result of the analyzes and evaluations made is seem sufficient in numerical sense, it has been determined as a lack that these news are often given in the internal pages of the newspapers.
It is thought that giving news from the first pages that will be a good example to people that people can draw their attention will contribute positively to the development of individuals.
