Summary
Gelişen ve değişen dünyada bireyin yaşama ayak uydurması pek çok açıdan zorlaşmaktadır. Bireyin zorlaşan bu hayatında sosyal bilgiler bireye bir takım öğrenme ekleri sunarak bireyin kendini gerçekleştirme yolunda zorlanmadan hayatına devam etmesine katkı sağlamaktadır. Sosyal bilimler alanında meydana gelen her türlü değişimi öğrenciye aktarmakla yükümlü olan sosyal bilgiler, bireyin yaşamsal değişiminde ortaya çıkan ihtiyaçlarına cevap vermek amacı ile birçok disiplini ya da öğrenme alanını kapsayan bir kavramdır. Bu araştırmanın temel amacı da, devlet okulu ve özel okulda görev yapan sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin okul türüne göre, "sosyal bilgiler" kavramına ilişkin sahip oldukları algıları metaforlar aracılığıyla ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Malatya ve Elazığ illerinde 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar döneminde 110’u devlet okulunda, 50’si özel okulda görev yapmakta olan toplam 160 sosyal bilgiler öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, Araştırma kapsamında yer alan sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin “sosyal bilgiler …… benzer; çünkü……” cümlesini tamamlamasıyla elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analiz edilmesi ve yorumlanmasında, içerik analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, devlet okullarında ve özel okullarda çalışan öğretmenlerin sosyal bilgiler kavramını birbirinden farklı imgelerle açıkladıkları ortaya çıkmıştır. Devlet okullarında çalışan öğretmenler çoğunlukla sosyal bilgileri “farklılık imgesi olarak” (%20) açıklarken, özel okullarda (%24) görev yapan sosyal bilgiler öğretmenleri ise “bütünsellik imgesi olarak” açıkladıkları ortaya çıkmıştır.

Abstract
Developing and changing world of the individual to adapt to life in many ways is difficult. The difficult life of an individual that adds social studies learning by offering a number of individuals towards self-realization of the individual to continue his life without difficulty contributes to . Occurring in the field of social sciences to the students who are obliged to exchange all kinds of social information in an individual's life changes with the aim of responding to the emerging needs of many disciplines or fields of learning is a concept that encompasses . The main purpose of this research , the public school and private school teachers who work in schools by type of social information , " social science " to describe the concept through the perceptions that metaphors reveal. The study group, Diyarbakir, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Malatya and Elazig provinces 2013-2014 academic year, during the spring period , 110 public schools , 50 private schools serving a total of 160 social studies teacher poses . The research data , within the scope of the study of social studies teacher " ...... similar social information ; because ...... " was obtained with complete sentences . Data analysis and interpretation of the content analysis techniques were used. According to the survey , teachers working in public schools and private schools, the concept of the social information that has emerged to explain with images different from each other . State school teachers of social studies are often differences " as the image " (20%) , explaining in private schools (24%) while social studies teacher who served " as the image of totality " has emerged that they describe.
