The fact that distance education has become a necessity in higher education with the pandemic period has made it necessary to examine the attitudes of learners who are affected by this process. In the context of this necessity, the aim of the research is to develop a valid and reliable scale for measuring the attitudes of higher education students towards distance education. The item pool, which was created by examining the literature, was presented to the expert opinion and applications were started. The validity and reliability studies of the scale were carried out with 19190 students studying at various associate and undergraduate levels of Necmettin Erbakan University. Construct validity of the scale was carried out by exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and construct validity (convergence-discriminant validity) calculations. Thus, a three-dimensional scale consisting of 25 items explaining 47.13% of the total variance was obtained. As a result of the analyzes, the internal consistency coefficient calculated with Cronbach Alpha for the reliability of the scale was found to be .96. In this context, it is predicted that this scale, whose validity and reliability has been proven by research, can be used effectively in student study groups.
