The purpose of this research is to test a theoretical model which is developed in respect to the mediatory role of life satisfaction levels for the relation between the emotional intelligence levels of teachers and teamwork. This research’s study group is comprised of 339 teachers in total, working in private as well as state schools at Uskudar county in Istanbul province for 2018-2019 school year. As data collecting tool, “Emotional Intelligence Scale” developed by Petrides and Funham (2001), “Teamwork Study Scale” developed by Gayef (2006), and “Adult Life Satisfactions Scale” developed by Güç, Erol and Kaba (2017) have been implemented. The theoretical model proposed here has been tested by Structural Equation Modeling. For the assessment, and analyzing of data, SPSS 24 and AMOS 24.0 have been used. In this study primarily, the reliability analysis of the scales has been accomplished and then, at the second phase a measurement model which was modeled together with the variables to be comprised in structural model has been formed and after being analyzed and verification of it, structural modeling followed them. At the relation between the emotional intelligence levels and teamwork, at the structural model which is established in order to test the mediatory role of the life satisfaction variable it has been determined that the model fit indices have yielded a good fit. The result obtained in this study: obtained coefficients are statistically significant and the life satisfaction has a full mediator effect on concerned model.
