DEVELOPING AN ATTITUDE SCALE FOR TURKISH LITERATURE COURSE
This study aims to develop a scale to identify the attitudes towards the Turkish Literature course taught in secondary schools. Items of the scale were specified with the writings indited by students on the part of the researcher and in the light of expert opinions by scanning the relevant literature. A 60-item draft scale was applied to 771 students receiving education in 9 secondary schools in Kırşehir. The research data was analysed using SPSS 17.0 and Lisrel 8.80. At the end of these analyses, the draft scale was reduced to 35 items. The scale had a 2-factor structure as a result of the exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of reliability for the scale is 0,94.
