Öğretmen Adaylarının İnternet Öz-Yeterlilik İnançları ve Eğitim Teknolojilerine Yönelik Tutumları Arasındaki İlişki
In this study, Internet self-efficacy beliefs of teacher candidates and their attitudes toward educational technologies have been studied. The study carried out with 96 teacher candidates, who are studying in Computer and Instructional Technologies, Science and Elementary Mathematics departments in Konya Necmettin Erbakan University Ahmet Keleşoğlu Faculty of Education. As data collection tool, "Personal Information Form", “Technology Attitude Scale” developed by Yavuz (2005) and "Internet Self-Efficacy Scale" developed by Miltiadou (1999) and adapted Turkish by Küçük (2002) were used. The study showed that teacher candidates’ attitudes towards educational technologies (x ¯=69.95) and their internet self-efficacy beliefs (x ¯=58.41) are in a moderate level. Research results revealed that gender, department, social media use and general computer literacy levels don’t lead to a variation significantly on teacher candidates’ attitudes towards educational technology and internet self-efficacy beliefs. In addition, it has been shown that internet usage time significantly differentiate teacher candidates’ self-efficacy beliefs. Moreover it has been reached that there is moderately significant positive relationship between teacher candidates’ internet self-efficacy beliefs and their attitudes towards educational technology.
