Abstract


A QUALITATIVE RESEARCH ON CLASSROOM TEACHERS' TECHNOLOGY USE IN MATHEMATICS TEACHING
This research is a qualitative study in order to define classroom teachers' perception about the technology use in primary school mathematics teaching. Also this research was designed as a phenomological study. The research's study group was designed by criterion sampling desing according to teacher's occupational seniority being to from 1 to 10 years, 10 to 20 years and 20 and up. Data were collected through semi-structered interviews. Collected data were analysed through contend analysis. At the end of the analyze of the collected datas, the findings of the research was classified in four main themes i) teachers' opinions about the use of technology, ii) teachers' looks on the technology use effects on mathematics teaching, iii) teacher's opinions about the benefits of using technological materials on mathematics teaching (according to students, teachers and mathematics teaching), iv) if the use of technological materials cause any problems in terms of teacher or mathematics teaching.
