AN INVESTIGATION OF TEST ANXIETY LEVEL IN 8-13 AGE STUDENTS: KAYSERİ PROVINCE SAMPLE
The aim of this research is to examine the test anxiety levels of the students between the ages of 8-13 and to determine whether test anxiety differs in a significant way according to various information. The research was organized in the context of descriptive and generic research design. The sample of the research consists of 132 students who are studying in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades in the public schools of Kayseri province center during the 2016-2017 education period. The data of the study were collected by the Demographic Information Form and the Children’s Test Anxiety Scale. Independent samples T-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation analysis were used in the analysis of the obtained data in the frame of inferential statistics. According to the findings, it was determined that there is a significant relationship between age and test anxiety. It was also found that the autonomous response levels of girls were higher than boys. In addition, it was determined that the students who were going to take the TEOG exam of the year have higher test anxiety than the other students.
