FINE ARTS EDUCATION STUDENTS’ VIEWS ABOUT USING MINIATURE FROM TRADITIONAL ARTS IN GRAPHIC DESIGN COURSE
The aim of this study was to determine the students’ views, practices and suggestions for using miniature from traditional arts in in graphic design course. The participants of this research were 11 students that took Graphic Design III-B. Open-ended questionnaire form that included 7 questions prepared by the researcher was used to collect the data. The study lasted totally 4 weeks – one-week theoretical course and three-week practice – in spring term in 2016-2017 academic year. The collected data was transferred to digital platform and was analyzed by using descriptive analysis method. In the end of the data analysis teacher candidates’ views were determined and practices were assessed. Results showed that teacher candidates developed a positive attitude related to doing research, attentive studying, gaining knowledge etc. with miniature practices. Besides, they stated that practices of these types were necessary and should continue. Results also indicated that they had some difficulties. Finally some suggestions were made according to results..
