Abstract


THE EXAMINATION OF CAREER AND COUPLE BURNOUT AMONG NURSES WITH DIFFERENT LIFE SATISFACTION LEVELS
The purpose of this research is to examine whether the career and couple burnout levels of nurses differ significantly by different life satisfaction levels (low, medium, high). Sample of the research consisted of 235 female nurses working in the state hospitals located in the central districts of the province of Konya as well as the district of Akşehir. Life Satisfaction Scale (LSS), Burnout Measure-Short Form (BM-SF), Couple Burnout Measure-Short Form (CBM-SF) and “Personal Information Form” were used in the research. At the end of the analyses, it was determined that career and couple burnout scores of nurses significantly differed by the life satisfaction levels and both career burnout and couple burnout score averages of the nurses differed in accordance with the life satisfaction levels of the nurses. Also, it was reported that career and couple burnout scores decreased as the life satisfaction levels of nurses increased while career and couple burnout scores increased as the life satisfaction levels increased.
